Macy’s Extends Annual “shop for a cause” to Weekend Long Event
Macy's invites his customers to participate in its 11th annual national Shop For Cause, a charity event beginning on Friday, August 26 through Sunday, August 28. This is a unique three-day shopping event that is created to support local nonprofit organizations fundraising efforts. Since 2006, the program helps raise tens of millions of dollars for thousands of charities across the country.
Macy's is designated the March of Times, the leading nonprofit organization that supports pregnancy and baby health, as his national in-store and online beneficiary of Shop For Cause. Customers are invited to give five dollars to the March of Dimes and any Macy's register or online and they receive a savings pass valid for 25% off select regular, sale and clearance items. This includes some home items also. 10% is discounted off watches, electrics, electronics, furniture, mattresses and rugs or floor coverings all weekend long. Exclusions apply and offers differ online, check for details. In donating five dollars to your favorite local cause, customers have the chance to win a $500 Macy's gift card.
